December 5, 2020 - Still rich dark fruit, spice and tar but a little disjointed. Tasty but not great.

May 1, 2018 - This bottle was toast. Bummer, as I had some expectations based off of reviews here. Flat fruit, bitter Earth, lacking acid with a short finish. I bet other bottles could be showing better, this one was just not...

February 17, 2017 - Consistent with previous notes. Still really enjoyable. Don't shy away from buying this bottle if you have a chance...

January 18, 2017 - Wine still had some life left. If you have ever been to Krupp at top of Atlas Peak in south Napa you would see why. Highest point overlooking the valley and REAL mountain fruit. Nose was still ripe dark fruits and leather, color still incredible. Palate was smooth with tannins resolved with dark fruits, a touch of tobacco and earthy. It tailed off after about an hour or so in the decanter but still very drinkable. Drink if you have them obviously but don't expect this wine to fall apart either, the fruit is just to high quality. Put this wine against a bottle thats 5-7 years newer and you will see what I mean.

May 27, 2013 - Outstanding. Decanted for an hour and ran it through aeration. Enjoyed it with a seasoned white fish. Wonderful deep fruit flavor, smoky and earthy. Drinking really well now.
