August 8, 2012 - - Brick color and has flavours of prune, raisin, fig, dusty and tobacco with a medium/full body - Decanted about an hour. Wonderful aroma of dried fruits, figs, raisins. Huge mouth-feel. Deep brown/black ruby color stuck to the glass. Wonderful, thick, chewey. Wish I had many more but this is the only one of it's kind in the cellar.

February 11, 2005 - Ruby red. Barnyard on the nose. Really horsey, bretty and barnyard with brassy ripe cherries and plums. Peppery finish and nice framing acidity. Tannins almost non-existant. This is more in the Beaucastel style than any other Chateauneuf I've had. I'm guessing there is mourvedre here. I highly recommend this for those who like this style of wine (as I do).
