Community Tasting Notes 6

November 3, 2012 - Beautiful and Bold. This wine is in its prime. Deep Ruby with a perfect rim. Excellent legs. Spice, pepper, and blackberry notes on the nose. Full body. Lasting and smooth finish.

October 15, 2012 - - Violet color with medium forming legs. It's in total harmony with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish - Drinking beautifully. Layered, luscious and deep. Exquisite with dark chocolate.

January 29, 2011 - Incredible nose of blueberry compote, fig, and pepper. Blueberry, raspberry, hoisin sauce, and pepper on the palate, with ample acidity; well-integrated, dusty tannin on the medium-plus finish. Somewhat linear on the first night, fanned out to reveal more density and plushness on the second night. An elegant, food friendly, cool climate syrah. This wine was a perfect match with sage infused meatloaf and a chilly, rainy evening. Drink over the next 5 years or so.

April 27, 2010 - Taste of Mendocino (107 wines from 35 producers tasted) (Golden Gate Club, Presidio, San Francisco, California): Pepper, roasted fruit nose; roasted fruit, black fruit, pepper palate; medium-plus finish
