September 24, 2016 - Even after this much time, I am so pleased with this bottle. Bought some CH wines about 5 years ago for the first time and this was my favorite by far. Lots of dark juicy fruit, oak, chocolate and still great structure. It hit the spot and was enjoyable to drink without food. Just finishing up a few more bottles. I remember this being one of the wines that got me very into Tempranillo.

July 26, 2015 - Inky dark with a cedar dominant nose. Dry and tart with puckering tannins on the PnP, 88 pts. Tight as can be with oak overpowering the fruit. Let's see how a day helps. Starting to evolve in the glass with purple fruits and some lemon. Tasted on day 2 and needs a lot of time.
Sitting on the counter close to a week, and it is showing super tonight. No change on the nose, but full bodied and subtle at the same time, the tannins have integrated, lush blackberry fruit with a tart blackberry pie sweetness showing. No rough edges, great with food.

December 2, 2013 - I thought this was great. Dark fruit, in good balance with the acidity, smooth palate. Disappeared quickly.

January 25, 2013 - Pretty tasty with plum and red cherry. A bit tannic, steel feels like it can age a bit. Loads of dark chocolate but some grilled meats certainly complement well. Did open up decently enough but it's still a pretty big wine.

November 15, 2011 - Dark purple/plum in color. Heavy oak and dark fruit on the nose and palate, full bodied and reasonably complex. For the money an exceptional wine. Update on day 2, much smoother, rounder. If it lasts to day 3 should be really nice. Will up from 89 to 90.
