Community Tasting Notes 26

August 27, 2023 - Popped and poured; see my notes from 2017. For real, not much has changed save for the gentle integration of more secondary characteristics. The 2005 “La Pèira” continues to be quite the charmer. A mix of ripe, dried and desiccated dark fruits, tobacco, leather, earth, and warm spices. Tannins are completely integrated. A wonderfully balanced wine and while I would recommend to drink now, it should continue to drink well throughout the remainder of the decade.

May 13, 2023 - A wine that could time travel another 10-20 years. Drinking well now. Enjoy!

September 13, 2020 - Opened without decant. Nose was reminiscent of a brunello. Full body with plenty of black fruits. Tannins have fully integrated and it is ready to drink. Highly recommend

May 25, 2020 - This unique wine was very similar to the 3/10/13 bottle I enjoyed over 7 years ago. Still very youthful.

October 8, 2018 - Now fully integrated and in peak drinking period, this bottle was was very good but lacked some of the excitement of the 3/10/13 bottle and did not represent a good value.

(La Pèira en Damaisèla Terrasses du Larzac La Pèira) Opaque red violet color; blackberry, lavender, berry, oak nose; youthful, rich, concentrated, berry, blackberry, lavender palate; delicious now and should go for 10 years or more; long finish
