February 29, 2020 - Just incredible... my first grand cru montrachet and yet so distinctive compared to chassagne and puligny. You feel the shared connection but this is on a whole nother level.
20 years old now and a deep orange yellow decanted and given time to breath. The bouquet is unlike any other dry wine I have tasted, it totally smells like a sauternes, full and intense, similar distinctive notes of botrytis.
Difficult for me to discern fruits in this... bascially the whole start and middle are rich and deep honey notes only to reveal some acidity and sometimes a subtle bitternes on the palate.
Very oily texture... like fruity honey in your mouth -

November 23, 2008 - Onions on the nose and palate. A bit oxidative and woody. Not very pleasant.
