Community Tasting Notes 26

December 27, 2018 - Still real oaky. Almost like a bourbon barrel aged Chardonnay. Still comes across very youthful. As okay as current release Pahlmeyer Napa Chard.

November 26, 2015 - Still young with a nice lighter color than expected, nice acidity, tremendous fruit. Well balanced and not over the top.

May 12, 2015 - Really nice floral nose, the palate is tangerine, melon and a touch of apple. A nice full finish.

April 21, 2014 - Deep lemon with hints of gold. Aromatic nose of tropical fruit, honeydew, orange creamsicle, and pear with slight hints of vanilla, which fruit and vanilla showed through on the palate. Full bodied. Great.

July 14, 2013 - A rich, sunshine gold color, with spectacular tropical aromatics. I believe this was the last year that viognier was included, which is a shame. This is beginning to show its age with slight oxidative notes that border on a late harvest / botrytis taste, but it remains a totally dry wine. On the palate it is what you would expect with a viscus mouthfeel and an array of tropical flavors. There is a bit of heat, but not awful. I think this is on the early part of the downhill slope, so drink up. Very good stuff. 91+
