March 24, 2012 - WXTP Tasting (Brad's Place): I enjoyed this rather more then the other tasters on the panel. I thought that it had a nice nose, with a bit of sherberty spritz dancing around fuzzy peach and fuji apple aromas, and then some white flowers and a bit of mineral. Nice. The palate was actually pretty fresh and lively for a 2007, especially when compared to the rather limp wine that preceded it, with a supple balance to its otherwise typically rich 2007 flavours of ripe apples and nectarines drizzled with a bit of honey. It ended with a nice, gentle finish, very fleshy, almost creamily textured, yet well balanced with a touch of citrus lime at the very end. Young, primary, but quite yummy.
