October 17, 2015 - I don't believe this wine was ever intended on being put away for as long as I have, but so it is. This was Kevin Chamber's second vintage bottling his vineyard under his own label, but due to the poor vintage he scrapped the Resonance Vineyard front label and went with a "Second" label called Pulse. Unfortunately this was the last year Kevin made wine under his own label. Surprisingly, this wine is still drinking quite intact and correct. Color is on the lighter side. Aromas are a forward, and smelling slightly manufactured, but at the same time pleasant. Notes of a damp fall day in the vineyard, fruit notes are towards slightly oxidized red apple skin, and there's a nice slightly funky mineral streak present as well. Palate entry is soft and light in body, with initial attack some pure soft acidity. Flavors are light, more of the red apple skin and some acidic briar fruit. Nice frothing texture as it's aerated. Finish comes in with some light acidity to frame more red apple skin notes. This acidic red apple is the note that lingers on the finish for quite a while. Really no tannins anywhere to speak of. I opened this bottle yesterday and had some doubts about the aromas. I consumed one glass, but the screw top back on, and finished the bottle on day two, and it is much better now. A pleasant wine, drinking well for its intent and tariff of the time.

August 31, 2009 - Yamhill-Carlton District AVA tasting at The Portland Armory: Very lightly burning on the nose, and a bit of green fruit. Soft and light bodied on the mid-palate with light berry fruits. Very mild, and quite soft on the finish. Nothing angular about it, but I like angles. A good pleasing quaffer, though.

July 1, 2009 - Really good Pinot at this price point. Read that due to a difficult vintage they only released this second bottling, so perhaps that accounts for the grace of this $20 value. Light ruby, pure color. Cherry and some black pepper in the nose. Strawberry, raspberry in the mouth with a bit of earth, pine, smoke. Crisp finish, reminding me of Cab Franc.
