  September 7, 2010 - Part of my box wine experiment. It wasn't terrible, but not entirely enjoyable either. Somewhat disjointed flavor profile. Too hot. Contrary to the purpose of my experiement (having wine always available) I found myself drinking less wine while this was open. Packaging seemed to keep wine in pretty much the same state for the few weeks it took to drink it after opening.

  December 8, 2009 - Nose is warm, picks up the alcohol, and notes of plum. Vanilla and cherry on the palate. Goes flat with tannins and a bit of burn in the throat. Some fruit component that shows up against the bread and cheese I'm eating. I'm not sure how this could be rated above "average."

  November 27, 2009 - Never thought I would try a box wine and give my 2-cents worth of comments. With respect to this Black Box Cab, simply said, "Good Value!" Though not very complex, this Cab has nice dark (slightly candied) berry-flavors and some pepper notes; even some oak nuance on the back-end. Pleasant tannins and medium-dry, fairly long finish.

  November 15, 2009 - Very solid everyday wine. Good fruit with some of the roundness you like with a cab. Great value.
