Community Tasting Notes 8

June 7, 2016 - Had it with Nevenka w salmon a bit spicy lemon sauce. Wine was not clear but tasted really nice - light fruit on the nose, cinnamon, prach and tropical fruit. It reminded me of baby,a real baby Sauterne. Enjoyed it although timing wise it was supposed to expire. But it did not.

June 10, 2013 - I used to really love this wine, but coming back to it after actually getting into wine, it was too sweet for my taste. That said, still an interesting varietal and a good change of pace wine. Nice and easy drinking.

May 8, 2010 - A nice change of pace from Reisling or Semillon. Pear notes and apple, but noot spicy. Just a hint of grass and melon on the finish. Crisp.

July 9, 2009 - Really nice. Makes for a nice change when a viognier might be used. A bit more versatlle though. Very nice.

June 27, 2009 - Very pale lemon-straw colour. Nose is tart, bright, acidic with muted fruit, - ripe white pear, and soft tropical floral note like plumeria.

Surprisingly sweet, off-dry to semi-sweet, with a lovely dose of sparkle and rich, languid mouthfeel - it really coats the mouth and keeps the finish (which is a little hot and grassy, as well as nicely mineral, with a vaguely spicy-dry hit like fresh ginger) long. I get some lychee, and soursop (!!!) maybe a little pineapple even, and still that plumeria note. Sweet, white, ripe tropical fruits. Unique and very pleasant. It's so well balanced despite the sweetness; complex but overly adorned.
