  February 12, 2009 - Smell: I'm getting more blackberry and red currant with this bottle than cherry as I did with the first bottle.
  
  Taste: After some air the blackberry/red currant fades and I'm getting a nice dark cherry with good structure. A tad sweeter than I would like but still very solid. Smooths out nicely eventually and a good long dark cherry finish on the mid-pallette with chocolate starting to come through.

  January 20, 2009 - Wow! Huge sour cherry sucker almost cough syrup on the nose when first opened. Not so sweet on the pallet, but definitely on the high end of sweet for what I like. Still, very delightful with a spicy beef taco and incredible amount of maraschino cherry.
  
  Great fruit, but a little sweet. Others might score it higher if they like the sugar content.
  
  2nd night:
  I'm liking the sweetness a little better night two. Still loads of cherry, but not as sugary. Nose is just fruit, not much floral/earthy. Goes nicely with my Dutch Gouda and walnuts and spicy almonds.

  January 5, 2009 - I've had this three times previously and never was it as good as last night. I decanted this bottle for about an hour and then drank over the next two. The color was a clear deep garnet. This showed hints of minerality, dark dark cherry and some plum. It had very masculine tannins, but with the time I let this breath, they weren't too bold. This wine has great aging potential, but with enough time in the decanter, don't be afraid to pop a few early. This is a screaming value at $11
