February 11, 2024 - Pop n poured. Little funkiness on the nose settled down over time. Nice dark fruit with resolved tannins. Plums, with some spices. Drinking well

December 25, 2023 - Really liked this. Had some very funky / gamey / burnt rubber stuff on the nose which dissipated after being open for 30 minutes. Tannins have fully resolved and this really started to sing after being open for an hour and a half. Still lots of fruit left, this is in an excellent place now but not sure it’s going to continue to get better

September 22, 2023 - Very juicy, some earthy/spice notes, but too heavy, alcoholic and spoofy for me. No flaws and some may like this style.

December 24, 2022 - Classic CDP and definitely in its prime with great fruit and acidity. Drink now and over next 3-5 years

May 1, 2022 - Plush with pure dark and baked berries and spice. Balanced with average acid. Long length and pleasant finish. Has the charm and delicious factor. Quite a crowd pleaser. Worked well with roasted lamb and baked beans Provençal style with herbs.

(Domaine Paul Autard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Juline) Very dark cherry red color; big, floral, berry, lilac, berry pie nose; ripe berry, berry pie, vanilla, boysenberry palate, a "modern" style CdP in a good way; medium-plus finish 93+ pts. (50% Syrah from 55-year-old vines on a parcel with sandy soil and 50% Grenache from 80-year-old vines from a parcel with round stones and sand, the Syrah and Grenache vinified separately; fermentation, vinification and maturation entirely in new, medium toast, Seguin-Moreau barrels with one side removed; 30-day maceration in these barrels with daily pigeage by hand; at end of 30 days, the wine is transferred to tank, the solids are pressed, and the juice then returned to the barrels; the barrel maker comes to the winery to replace the sides of the barrels, and the wine then begins its 16-month maturation period in these same barrels)
