January 27, 2016 - A gorgeus wine! I was so surprised - A semi Burgund in bed with a Riesling! Really thick crispy texture wih oil, butter, stone, lemon and Apples. Nicely developed now - i will drink this wine over the next 0-5 years. The wine drinks Perfect right now!

October 10, 2014 - Utterly bewitching. Smelt like an auslese - petrol, lots of sweet fruit. Then definitely dry on the palate but absolutely packed with the gorgeous fruit that the nose promised. And yet very, very elegant too. Even my wife, whose resistance to German Riesling has at times verged on the doctrinal, absolutely loved this; and I only had to press her for an opinion twice during our anniversary dinner. One of the best wines I've ever had.

January 7, 2012 - Decanted for about 30 minutes before tasting. Medium straw colour. Beautiful nose; an all out rock quarry up front with sweet orchard fruits and a touch of more exotic flavours showing further back. On the palate; weighty and mouth coating with continued mineral dominance. High, but not overpowering acidity. Superb length. After this I must say I’m looking forward to opening one of my 07 GG’s from the same vineyard.
