Community Tasting Notes 1

August 15, 2011 - Rather dark cherry red. In the nose, lots of oak with strong toast at first. Earthy-mineralic notes as well, precise dark cherry notes and some blackberry, black pepper. Expansive and inviting, cool at the same time. On the palate, quite "serious" with edgy tannins and strong acidity, good balance, light to medium body. Not much fruit on the palate. Slightly bretty finish. Starts really good, ends not so convincing.
