Community Tasting Notes 1

March 10, 2009 - Oak is present in this wine, but nothing like the Cali toothpick spitters. Right away I could smell the smokiness, it had an aroma of charred pork loin with an apricot chutney. There's a little too much residual sugar and the the flavors flatline on the mid palate. The finish comes on like popcorn flavored bubble gum, no butter, just popcorn and a sugary aftertaste. It's an interesting wine, I rate this a "Buy Again".
