  October 1, 2015 - Crushed black berries. Stone dust. Cocoa/chocolate powder. Hint of heat on the nose. Seems to have shed a little fat. Palate is still substantive without being jammy or heavy. Not a knock out but a pretty nice 8 year old, $15 wine.

  February 11, 2015 - Dark purple. Cigar box, stones and black fruit with tobacco, ripe black cherry, and plum flavors. Has evolved over the last three years. Less up front fruit and more savory flavors.

  November 6, 2014 - Dark red, grilled meat and black fruit on the nose, starting to lose some of its earlier fruity charm, still nice but I liked it better when it was younger

  March 9, 2014 - Came off fairly fruit-forward; dark berries & black fruit on the nose with a whiff of smoke. Flavors carry through with good weight on the palate, and the back end shows little olive & herb note.
  
  Improved with a couple hours in the decanter, though I would drink sooner than later (next year or two).
