December 19, 2014 - tasted blind. nose - earth, funky, straw mat
mouth - lovely, balanced, funky sweaty fruit, fruit punch going sour, earthy, dirt, dry tannins. nice wine. I guessed it to be bordeaux.

November 5, 2014 - No decant. Really nice Cab.

November 9, 2013 - Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. Very fresh and balanced aromatic start with blackberry and plum aromas and good spice. Well textured and balanced throughout, but as Ken pointed out, this is very modern and tough to identify its "place." But a very successful 1999 Napa Cabernet.

November 15, 2011 - Brought to an offline. Really a fantastic cab...directly in its' prime drinking window. Went well with food, was rich and balanced, yet soft and elegant. A truly magnificent wine.

April 7, 2010 - Burgundy Boozers do aged burgundy/bordeaux/cali, cult cali cab, and.. a Loring Pinot!? (Golden Truffle, Newport Beach, California): light and balanced on the palate. Ground coffee beans and dirty cherries. Still tons of fruit left on this wine, but it's not very powerful.. everything is in its place .. I'd use the word "elegant" but I thought the wine was missing a little lift to take it to the next level. Still a very balanced wine and gives me hope for all the oakier recent vintages I've had.
