May 15, 2021 - Vinner knappt kvällens Ribera del Duero-match mot Aalto 2003, Lite mer tryck i de mörka bären och ett uns av en trevlig körsbärston och en nypa kakao. Sammetstanniner. Bra både till köttbit och småprat.

May 15, 2020 - Dark ruby with quite a purple rim.
Deep black berry fruit on the nose, with some raspberry brightness too. Some sweet vanilla oak that's nicely integrated.
Full, really quite intense fruit on the palate. Ripe black fruit, with that same bright edge as there was on the nose. Lots of tannins still evident, that could do with just softening and integrating a bit more.
    Really satisfying.

April 19, 2020 - Approaching 9 years since my previous tasting of this wine Forward nose of blackberry and raspberry, bright red fruit and a touch of sweet wood complexity. Palate is mouth coating, with ripe tannins relatively subdued under the intense fruit but still there. Long balanced finish. This wine has still years to go and will keep getting better. I will try again in four years, but this is very enjoyable now.

June 16, 2012 - Decanted for two hours and the wine was still rather closed, not showing much fruit through the strong tannins. Then flavours of raspberry, plums and a lot of dried fruit, figs and sultanas. A very good wine, but still too young for me. I will wait a few years for my other two bottles.

November 12, 2011 - This wine and the Palomero showed much younger that expected based on recent previous tasting of both of these wines. Forward nose of very intense fruit, raspberry, red cherry with some wood complexity. Palate in mouth coating, with ripe tannins still dominating leading to mineral notes on the finish. This wines has many years to go.
