  July 11, 2020 - Lovely nose of blackcurrant, spearmint, coal, cooked green capsicum flesh, cooked mulberry. Vibrant, fresh, light to medium bodied on the palate, with good concentration and ultra fine chalk-textured tannins. Very nice!

  April 26, 2019 - Still drinking exceptionally well. Was cellared properly. Plenty of leathery fruity greatness. Tastes better than the nose. Drink!

  October 11, 2012 - Needs to be served at 16 C to get the freshness out. A faint smell of Cab but really this smells more Australian than Cab :-) Still a good wine on its own terms. The nose offers up seaweed, menthol a la Aussie, Gajol, and some bay leaf actually. Full bodied but with a freshness and quite high acidity, no doubt due to the Western Australia climate with sea breeze and cold nights. Good balance and still a good grip from the tannins. Not cloying at all. Seems like this can last much longer. The question is whether it will ever be a complex wine. Time will tell. Vasse Felix is the pioneers of Western Australia, which is really cab country and not Shiraz.
