January 5, 2018 - Entering maturity, though still a dark master; minerality, intensity here, concentrated, but not overdone. Fruit is still primary, dark and sweet. Will live 5+ years, though no harm in drinking it.

A Blind Wine Tasting of Priorat Wine, Episode #680, 5/20/2009 (link) 90+ points(Clos Galena Clos Galena) #2; (tasted blind); VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-by far, the biggest nose; candied grenadine meets pomegranate; I feel like I went through a pomegranate car wash; very inky; get a little funktafied (like a pig farted); PALATE-very big and complex; big, big tannins; will last 15-25 years easy; this could be a superstar wine; Ian may have slipped in a $100 wine here; bombastic; tannin structure; this wine is borderline angry -- I feel like it's drinking me; the Oak monster is here, but high cocoa count dark chocolate; heavy pomegranate flavor; black & green tea flavors coming through; leather; this is very complex wine; this wine is too young right now; drinking window is 5-25 years; a superstar wine for New World lovers; JM-95; GV-90+
