Community Tasting Notes 1

January 9, 2010 - Castel grape, as per the vineyard this grape is a little known variety developed from French and North American parents, aged in old French oak barrels for 10 months. Bouquet slightly barn-yard, colour is very deep and dark, taste has lots of plum and raspberry. Full bodied and fruity taste, finish almost port-like. Bought at the vineyard and sorry I only bought the 1 bottle.
