Community Tasting Notes 2

  • ProperClaret Likes this wine:

October 28, 2017 - I paid $18 at auction from WineBid for this one, which includes the buyer's premium, and I can't remember ever enjoying a bottle at this price point as much as I did this. It had all the lovely tertiary notes you would expect a quarter of a century of bottle age to give you, and it had a sweetness on the tongue that was captivating. The only things separating this from what you would expect of a far more expensive bottle was that the nose was a little more restrained, and that it was a tiny bit disjointed in terms of balance. And I do mean tiny.

I am now a fan of second wines!

December 18, 2011 - Though a bit past its prime , its still pretty drinkable . Price/Performance excellent.
