February 24, 2024 - Spectacular, wonderful fruit, dark cherry, amazing complexity, spice, sous bois, long finish, great QPR, just a wow!

March 19, 2016 - really nice and fair QPR (at $150), this was consumed next to E. Rouget Vosne Romanee villages wine, by comparison this was more dense and on the dark side of red fruited, great sous bois and mushrooms but with tons of fruit too, good med-rich to rich palate, good mouthfeel with reasonable acid... very very nice but priced as such as well... if i could find this at $100 a bottle I would buy a six pack or case

December 17, 2015 - During a Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin dinner. Medium garnet. Expressive and noticeably gamy nose with lots of animalic tones, red fruit and forest floor. Highly aromatic and complex but you need to like the game and the funk. Very well balanced and fresh palate with soft tannins. This 05 Grand Cru was much more open and ready to drink than the other ones of that evening.

September 28, 2012 - mouth - powerful concentrated red berries. even a small sip completely coats the palate with flavor. Several bottles worth of wine crammed into one. Red berry fruit shows lively midpalate tart and is undeniably delicious. Long dry tannins on the long finish. Aside from being a lighter bodied wine with terrific concentration, I'm not sure if blinded I would be able to tell where this came from. While drinking nicely now, has plenty of life in it. This wine is more about power than elegance or complexity
