October 25, 2012 - Zachys Pre-Auction Dinner (Bar Boulud, NY): Light yellow, nose of straw, lemon. On the palate salty, drying, sherry.

September 23, 2012 - Very good wine with great balance and a really amazing complexity . Can hold 5 more years but will not improve.

January 1, 2010 - This was my last bottle and it was in the best shape of all. This was the 4th time I have tasted this wine recently. All of the bottles were reasonably consistent but with subtle variations here and there. The color was a viscous, medium gold. The nose seem a bit more intense and sappy than the last bottle I wrote up. It struck me as similar to the outstanding 1985 Haut Brion Blanc. However the, mouth was just a shade less intense than the last bottle and was certainly not showing the richness of the 1985. A lovely wine but not getting any better.

August 23, 2009 - Poured from a good looking bottle with about 3.5 centimeters of ullage. The wine showed medium deep yellow gold with attractive viscosity. Very restrained in the nose at first with attractive wax, apple and green melon developing as the wine aired.

Interestingly, this wine kept getting better for 2-3 hours. As noted, the nose got more complex but, a best, was of moderate intensity. The palate, on the other hand, developed to be powerful, long and reasonably complex. An excellent showing for a 33 year old white wine.
