November 14, 2021 - Lovely classic Burg nose with spice, red mature fruit, sous bois, residual tannins at the finish. But short lived on the palate - would have expected more length.

December 25, 2020 - Groffier's 2007 Bonnes Mares shows a welcome elegant side of that vineyard with sweet red berry, sous bois, and coffee. Fine tannins and bright acidity structure a palate that just sings fresh wild berry and spice. Excellent length. Very good!

May 16, 2020 - Groffier's 2007 Bonnes Mares is pretty and elegant tonight, showing finer than my last bottle, with a perfumed nose of raspberry, rose, game, and coffee. Soft for Bonnes Mares, with fine tannins and ripe acidity. Very good.

August 3, 2019 - Game-heavy nose also shows raspberry, coffee, and mixed florals. Fruit forward palate, less structure than typical for this vineyard, with fine, soft tannins.

July 30, 2019 - Good now with air but seems to just be getting in to it’s prime window, best to give this another few years in the cellar, and no rush at that. If drinking now, give plenty of time or follow over a couple days.
