September 18, 2020 - Wow, you can tell this had some big fruit in its youth...because it’s still prominent. Nose has faded to a sour/candied cherry. Lively acidity wraps dark red fruits, figs, black cherry liquor. Nuts. Looooooong finish. Reminds me of a tawny. Definitely several years left in this old gal, which is wild.

February 8, 2019 - Very well made Pinot. The funny thing about Kistler is that you can buy it young and it will be almost the same in 15-20 years. It seem to not evolve at all which might actually be a good thing. It like seating in the S class MB 2000 these days. It still seems modern even though in 2000 it was like a space ship))

May 5, 2014 - Deep dark clear ruby; urgent, expressive, multidimensional aromas and flavors; freshness belies the 16 yr ago birth; impressive stuff

February 8, 2014 - deep purple ruby, urgent nose of tart black cherries and menthol, characteristics which are amplified on the warmth of the palate, tannins and alcohol evident but very much in the background, tart lengthy finish; this wine is a real gem

August 22, 2013 - A bit disjointed but did improve after about 90 minutes. Ok but far from great.
