  May 5, 2018 - Hommage a DryCab - Washington Wines release; 5/3/2018-5/5/2018 (Various spots in Walla Walla): I was concerned on first pouring it. Came out very tight and really seemed like it was just off. There was a bit of unfortunate funkiness to it. Left it in the glass and got distracted by other wines and came back prob 10 mins later and it was a whole different wine. The fruit had opened up. The funk had blown off. The wine had that nice structure that you get with age where everything seems relatively in balance. To be fair if drinking blind prob would not have guessed this was 22 years old. Bits of sweet dark red fruit. Tasty.

  June 17, 2006 - No tasting note. I recently had the 1997 Klipsun, and can say without a doubt that the 97 is a far superior wine to the 96. Overall, I was little under whelmed by the 96, it was a bit weak and generic. An off bottle per chance?

  May 28, 2006 - Dark red in the center that fades a bit at the edge of the glass. On the nose there is lots of red fruit and some wood. On the palate there is more fruit and dried cherries. Nicely structured and still lots of tannin. 50 + 4 + 12 + 16 + 8
