August 11, 2009 - Shoe leather and porcini mushroom on the nose. Weighty mouthfeel of stewed plum and fig with a little pepper and baking spice on the finish. A little one dimensional.

January 16, 2009 - Unfiltered, and unfined this is a murky purple color, and comes in on the lighter side but is ultimately very pure, with persistent flavors of cherry and plum drop. Shows nice balance on the palate between its fruit and acidity, with a clean, nearly polished texture. Not a showy wine, but an enjoyable one.
