Community Tasting Notes 1

August 16, 2012 - A great Batard that showed no signs of premox and in fact felt young and vibrant, with probably a good 15 years of drinking ahead. The pale straw color is surprising, but on the palate this is both structured and rich. Great underlying chalkiness and fruit with balanced acidity, combined with butter from the significant but not heavy-handed oak treatment. Stood up to a vitello tonnato with no problems whatsoever. Superb.
