July 3, 2018 - Scores as high as a Musigny I tried last week!!! Compared to other meaningful '99s, this was evolved and showing great class with depth, richness and crunch and developing fruit. Great balance and class shines through. No overt oak (it's so funny to see people expounding about oak on this guy's wines just because they read somewhere about his use of 200% or 2000% new oak, blah, blah, blah,...). This wine was super good and probably the best $33/bottle I've spent on wine in the past couple decades.
