April 7, 2018 - Drinking beautifully with rounded red fruits, a touch of smoke and tobacco along with some earthiness. Well balanced and very enjoyable. At a very nice stage.

June 16, 2016 - Decanting is worth the price of admission. Even with my old nose the deep grape and blackberry fruit is amazing as it is poured through the filter into the decanter. This wine is just coming into its peak and I look forward to my 3 remaining bottles. Kermit Lynch wines are often a disappointment to me--maybe his reputation increases the price of the wine beyond its class but he has a winner with this bottle.

September 18, 2015 - Red, slightly brown edge. Leather and dark fruits on nose with slight port notes. Rounded taste, black fruits, spice. After about an hour more raspberry coming through. Slight sweet musk. Long finish. Very well balanced. Lovely wine and drinking very well.

January 9, 2014 - Still with pleasant fruity porty nose, touch of alpine heather. Sweet fruit is starting to dry out, nice savoury liquorice and pleasant length.
I suggest that this wine can only head down from here, so drink remaining over next 1-2 years.
