September 1, 2020 - You want it darker - asphalt here, dark fruit, the nose seems to be leaning towards the end, but the fruit is fresh - we skal see. Better with some air, still a heavy hitter indeed.

March 25, 2018 - Light garnet in color. Aroma is slight with some dried roses and earth. Palette is dried cherries, rose hips with a little hint of cocoa. The tannins are very soft now and no reason to hold on to this... drink up!

July 1, 2017 - Quite concentrated for the vintage, but in a really nice place now. Better than some Cru Barolo I've had from 2005. Not mind blowing but very enjoyable.

May 25, 2015 - Clear, medium intensity garnet color.

Developing nose with a medium(+) aroma intensity. Aromas of cherries, rose hips, violets, roses, warm earth, oak, vanilla, sweet spice and roasted coffee.

Dry on the palate with a medium(+) acidity, medium body and medium(+) rugged tannins. The flavor intensity is medium with flavors of dried cherries, rose hips, dried rose petals, oak and vanilla. The finish is medium.

Very typical Nebbiolo made by a modern style producer. This drinking well today and I don't see any point in cellaring this further.

May 24, 2015 - Muffled nose with lots of sweet oak aromas. Coffee, cinnamon, vanilla and pine resin. Showing some development with a bit of dried fruit and a little tobacco.

If the nose didn't give the wine away, the palate sure did. Medium+ to high acidity, chewy nebbiolo tannins. Good intensity and a good finish.

A good wine, but I'm realizing more and more that I'm not a big Piemonte fan. It seems to be the exception rather than the rule that I like the regions wines.
