January 24, 2009 - I couldn't find a vintage on the bottle, but after the bottle was removed the sommelier said it was spelled out in Italian. Open an hour and a half. Dark cranberry, briar, lots of white pepper on the nose. Medium bodied and dry on the initial finish showing cranberry and a lot of bitterness. Tastes like leafs but certainly not organic ones. Seems almost resinous, almost like pesticides. Tannic finish showing primarily cranberry. Enjoyable, but $50 on the wine list? Pass.
