April 9, 2022 - Shared by HM at Masaaki. This had a subtly nice nose, with a little vestige of sweet oak floating around a core of white peach and red apples drizzled with a little note of honey, and then a touch of minerality creeping in around the edges of the bouquet. The palate was more expressive than the nose I thought. Rich and creamy, yet nicely balanced with a good bit of well-integrated acidity framing fresh, limpid flavours of white peach and red apples, all this leading into a decent finish lined with a touch of mineral and just that lingering kiss of oak. Neither the most complex nor the most compelling, but this was very enjoyable.
