August 13, 2023 - Sensational aromas that explode from the glass -- red and black cherry, intense Vosne spice, emerging earth, toasted herbs and florals. The palate, while lovely, doesn't quite live up to the nose with silky fruits but not as much concentration or intensity as the aromas hint at. At peak. 95 point nose, 90 point palate.

July 31, 2022 - Power, purity, complexity, rich, structure, nice tannins, opening up in the glass, very compact, fresh fruit, persistance.

October 25, 2021 - red, dry grass, earth. need more aeration. Better structure compare to 07 mugnier bonnes mares. m+ acidity. Flavor intensity is not intense and not that broad and juicy.

September 4, 2021 - Kleur: Fluwelig oranjerood. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Smaak / Afdronk: 18 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 94/100

Colour: Velvety orange-red. Aroma / bouquet: Pleasant, complex and seductive bouquet, strawberry compote, wild strawberries, cherries, refined wood / cigar boxes, almonds / marzipan. A wine that you keep sniffing. Taste / Aftertaste: Soft and fresh start, really buttery, refined tannins. With 13% neatly balanced in terms of alcohol. Also in the mouth impressions of strawberry and cherry compote, a sweet, spicy touch and a hint of refined wood. Beautiful, elegant and complex wine. General / potential: Very convincing, complex and pleasant Vlos Vougeot. 50 + Colour: 5 + Aroma / Bouquet: 12 + Taste / Aftertaste: 18 + General / Potential: 9 = 94/100

May 6, 2021 - Clos Vougeot - Ech/Grand-Ech Side Tasting (Chicago): 02/07/10. The nose really shines here with flashy, rich, ripe black cherry that is laced with spice and toast. The palate is overtly spicy and obvious while also lacking nuance and energy. Fun but not as refined or elevated as 02 or 10.
