March 31, 2011 - Drank this right after a 2000 les Pagodes de cos. Big contrast. The Pagodes was very fruit forward, darker, had longer finish and richer/thicker mouth feel. Still young and ageable.
The Coutet in contrast is rustic, thinner, lighter, and more secondary on the palate. Short finish. Prune like plum fruit, dried fruits currants, terrior, Drying finish speaks of residual tannin greater than the remaining fruits.

May 19, 2010 - Cork broke inhalf but wine OK.

October 4, 2006 - thin and tanic. Did open up after about an hour.

November 1, 2005 - Anita: Very subtle nose; hints of light berry and leather; very supple entry into mouth, nice silky mth feel; some tart acidity near the end. All in all a good wine, but lacks focus or character.

June 9, 2004 - Anita: Bright med. red; nice nose of bright red berries--boysenberry, cherry; some earth, hint of sauteed shrooms (light, not bitter); med. bod, med. dry a little dusty t’s, med. fruity mouth.***Good Typical merlot based Bordeaux--good structure, good with food. Will be excellent in 5 years!
