Community Tasting Notes 10

April 19, 2024 - Beautiful and mature bouquet with dark berries and leather. On the palate dark berries, leather and chocolate, juicy and soft tannin. Better than my previous bottle and a great pleasure. Drink this wine over the next two years.

October 8, 2021 - Decent nose with black fruit, olives and branches. Medium palate ending in a pretty long finish with a little too much acidity. As others have noticed, this is past its peak and not near the 2 other bottles i have tasted. Maybe a little surprising for a Hermitage, but I would drink up.

March 31, 2021 - Gang of 4 in Covid19 times; Northern Rhone (@ RW): Coffee and chocolate and quite tertiary bouquet with mushrooms as well. On the palate the same tertiary impressions, rose hips, autumn forest and still some dark berry fruits. Ok acidity. The wine in this bottle is still drinkable, but past its peak. No score.

November 27, 2020 - Medium full body. There’s some browning to the wine but it still has plenty of ruby in it. The nose is developed, prune, licquorice and tobacco, there’s dark berry fruits, baked plum, the acidity is ok though it has a little heat to it. Not one I’d keep much longer, a decent but not exciting wine

October 28, 2019 - Medium garnet color. Developed aromas: leather, tobacco, dried fig, prune, raisin, vanilla, clove, eucalyptus/menthol, balsamic, cocoa, savory.
Medium+ body, medium+ (soft) tannin, medium acid, dry. Medium- intensity and medium- length finish. Medium alcohol. Flavors of stewed cherry, leather, tobacco, vanilla, eucalyptus, menthol, coffee.
Intensity is lacking and aromas are quite developed: may be past its prime.
