November 22, 2021 - Surprisingly fruity for the age. Tannins smoothed but still there. Unfortunately alcohol dominates this wine so it is unbalanced.

November 30, 2019 - At Rainer’s birthday dinner. No formal notes. Dark ruby colour. Sweet red and dark fruit, pastille, herbal notes and spices, with lowish acidity, ripe tannin and good length. The wine showed some heat from the alcohol, but was well-balanced overall, with good concentration and complexity. Hedonistic and not for the long haul, but very good now.
