May 2, 2021 - This went down the sink with it's stablemate - see prior note

May 2, 2021 - Tart, hot and some spritz on the palate. What fruit there was is completely stewed into an unrecognizable mass. This was so unenjoyable I pulled my second (and last of 6) bottle only to find it was virtually identical.

There's a clear dissonance on views regarding this wine but looking back over my notes I've not been impressed. A 2007 Coudoulet de Beaucastel I had last night was far superior and carried it's 14.5% alcohol in a much more balanced manner.

February 19, 2021 - Plenty of strawberry fruit, with some secondary notes. Soft supple mouthfeel. Drinking nicely right now.

January 23, 2021 - Secondary flavors are present with a herbal, and tar notes. Still enjoyable but would prefer more primary fruit.

April 12, 2020 - Enjoyed this with an Easter dinner that included grilled steak, quinoa, and Asian coleslaw. the wine is drinking beautifully with a medium to heavy body. The first taste gives way to strawberry or other red fruits followed by slight minerality and spice on the finish. This was very good and is definitely not past its prime. I'm glad I have two more bottles.
