December 29, 2015 - Lots of dark fruit. Nice forward palate feel. Oak provides for a dry finish but all in all a very good wine.

April 27, 2013 - Dark cherry, cedar and rose petal on the nose. A bit of up front acidity with a complex palate of raisin and black cherry, touch of cola, transitions to beef jerky and spice with a bittersweet cocoa and a milk chocolate creaminess at the end. Tannins are still firm but sweet. Finish goes on and on. Outstanding value.

December 2, 2009 - A solid effort. cherries, spice, crushed roses, wet stone, port on the nose. A very nice texture and medium body. Good, grippy, sweet tannins and a long, layered finish. %16 alcohol doesn't show as strong as some other Amarone in this price range. Excellent value.

October 18, 2009 - Some black cherry and tar on the nose. Black cherry carries over on the initial hit on the palate, followed by some cola, black licorice and finishing with raisins and a touch of pepper and cocoa. Tannins are there, but not overpowering. Too early to drink this, but I wanted to see how it fared while young, as I've never had an amarone from this producer. Really good now, will be interesting to see how it evolves.

Initially gave it a 92, but after 2 hours of air, this melded together wonderfully and easily earned another point. Even at this young age, this is a great wine and a screaming value.
