May 5, 2017 - The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like mineral, mushroom and forest floor. The body is full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

March 13, 2015 - FANTASTIC! We opened this to celebrate Michelle's big promotion and it was a great choice. Not fined or filtered and almost 10 years old made for a lot of sediment, and decanting was a must. It was a deep, concentrated ruby in color with a medium+ body. It began a bit tannic, mellowed out, then revealed the tannins again, but not in excess. It was nearly all gone before the nose began to show real character. In all it had plenty of life left in it, but what a joy it was to drink now. A great buy at $39. And no, I don't mind straying from the crowd with a higher score.

November 30, 2012 - Spicy and fruity but still high tannin level. No where near its peak
