  February 18, 2009 - at first very closed, tannic, and quite frankly very generic red wine tasting. Decided to give it some air....
  
  after 3 hours air time in glass.....
  some blackberries and perhaps a bit of mint on the nose. Also a hint of lip balm.
  
  somewhat light when it first hits the mouth, blackberries, almost sweet fruit. then some interesting things happen.... the tannins kick in a bit on the mid palate with flavors of eucalyptus, tea leaves, and plum.
  
  dried cherries, a bit of earth, and dry tannins on the medium finish.
  
  to sum it up..... wonderful wine! not a super fruity wine, but one that will keep you interested!

  On Second Night - mid-palate is pretty harsh and bitter. much better on the first night after some air.......
