February 5, 2010 - Perhaps a little bit young at the moment. Nevertheless a very refined, modern styled Barbera, aged for 10 months in barriques, with a deep purple-ruby red color and a harmonious bouquet of fresh red fruit, kirsch, expresso coffee and some violet tones. Savory, medium to full-bodied palate, loaded with ripe berry fruit, a nice kick of acidity and a fine touch of oak. Tasty and juicy finish with a dash of herbs. As young as it is, this wine reveals to be irresistible, the more since it is already very delicious now.
Misschien nog wat jong, maar toch al een zeer verfijnde Barbera (moderne stijl). Deze wijn rijpte tien maanden op barriques, heeft een diepe purperrode kleur en een harmonieus bouquet van vers rood fruit, kirsch en nuances van espressokoffie en viooltjes. Aansprekende, middelkrachtige wijn, vol rijp bessenfruit, met een aangename aciditeitsstructuur en een fijne eiktoets. Mooie, fruitige finale met wat kruidige elementen. Het zal mij moeilijk vallen, van deze wijn af te blijven, want hij is nu al bijzonder aantrekkelijk. -

February 17, 2009 - Via: The Big Red Tour (Boston, MA): Pretty fruit. Nice raz liquor thing going on. High acidity that works well with the fruit. Very good. 87-88
