September 15, 2016 - Second and final bottle. This was stellar, once again. It woke up the others at the dinner table. I think it was their "a ha" moment toward properly-aged Napa cabs.

So good. Wish I had more.

July 8, 2016 - this wine is in amazing condition. I think it could easily go another five years but why wait? Drinking perfectly. I hope the remaining bottle is as good - plan on waiting another year for that.

October 24, 2014 - Pours a translucent ruby with only a hint of bricking. Nose opens up to pungent herbal spicy vanilla. Burt's bees. Little bit of tar funk? On the palate it's balanced and smooth. Cherries and smoke and eucalyptus. Light savory flavors like beef broth, white chocolate. After some time in the bottle sweet fruit comes to the fore. Mocha. Medium plus finish. Still drinking very well. Fantastic value on aged Napa.

August 24, 2014 - This was really good and surprisingly also better than the 1976 the evening before. Full-bodied, silky, mature and so elegant.
