  May 27, 2015 - Consumed after a brief vigorous decant. Still lots of complex flavor w cherry and vanilla notes and smooth long finish

  December 10, 2011 - Dark ruby with a garnet tint. Strawberry, raspberry jam, and powerful spice on the nose. Medium bodied, the forte (port) is present initially, but eventually fades. Dark cherries, chocolate, cinnamon, black olives, pepper, well integrated woody tannins, smoke, and a medium to long finish. Give it time and air, and it rewards you.

  June 10, 2011 - Very smooth and mellow and went perfect with our evening. Four friends talking gazing out across the Lake Norman waters on a quiet summer's night. Yes, the wine rating may be influenced by the event but I really think it enhanced the event.

  December 25, 2009 - Big but soft spicy fruit flavor w a hint of well balanced vanilla. 3 more bottles New Yr’s eve. Was a big hit. well balanced almost elegant.
