March 8, 2024 - Tasted blind and I didn't spot it, what a cracker! Despite its age there is still drinking well. Garnet with a brick edge. Nose of menthol, cedar, smoke, bbq meats. Medium body, savoury, black olive, earth and umami and some black fruit in the background.

May 8, 2016 - Slight hint of age in the colour, dark plum red. Mixed spice nose, some pepper, pine trees (not quite menthol), liquorice. Medium body, supple tannins, a touch of acidity; leather, liquorice, sloe fruit. Lingers, good quality wine. Good for two more years, if I had any left.

January 30, 2015 - A brambly, spicy and pleasant wine. Surprisingly light in colour and taste, everything is well integrated to create something enjoyably forgettable.
