February 24, 2024 - Pronounced nose intensity with notes of plum, mushroom, earth, toast, spices. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Drinking beautiful now for a 1976 vintage.

January 5, 2023 - Nose of dark fruit, mushroom, dried herbs. In the mouth this is a lovely classic mature pomerol, resolved fruit, mushroom, tar, cigar box. Extended finish. Lovely.

March 27, 2022 - A bit disconnected between the nose and the palate, with the former promising promising sweet mature Bordeaux fruit, but the latter coming off as a bit dry and dusty. Ok, but not great.

February 22, 2022 - Bought on auction recently. Very top shoulder. Cork intact, light seepage under the capsule. Medium garnet colour, very little sediment. Dark fruit, plum, mushroom, tobacco, spices, and balsamic notes, with medium-level acidity, fully resolved tannin and very good length. Medium complex, smoothly textured and well balanced, with good concentration. Drinking beautifully! Should keep at this level for at least another 5+ years.

September 25, 2019 - Attractive open nose, the palate is surprisingly good especially considering the vintage, black berries, tar and smoke in a nice light package, surprisingly good and enjoyable.
