March 20, 2023 - This has earthy black cherry aromas with loads of Christmas spice, smoky potpourri and herbs. Juicy macerated cherries and some fun stemminess are super lively and energetic on the palate. Terrific 23 year old Pinot going strong.

May 27, 2009 - Pale raspberry/cranberry color. Aromas of black cherry pepper spice, sous bois, and earth. On the palate, this has a very pretty black cherry core with rhubarb and beet in the background followed by a black pepper spice. Mushroom, sous bois, and earth show on the finish. This has emerged from its teenage awkwardness and is beautiful now. I'm happy to have kept a few bottles to see them mature, although this wine had a tremendous youth and was hard to resist.
