Community Tasting Notes 10

June 7, 2015 - Nearly six years after the last note, unfortunately this is the last bottle. Plenty of life left. This is a rich, slightly sweet, pinot made in that style. Very fragrant with cola, clove, flowers, cherry, ripe strawberry all mingling and wafting with one being prevalent then another. Quite long. At least three years left with careful handling, maybe more.

May 1, 2015 - I've never been too enthusiastic about this particular wine, esp in this vintage. Early on, it was tannic and scratchy and now that the fruit is receding, it has developed a bit of a nice earthy flavor but it's not enough to hold the wine together. It's also fairly light now, borderng on watery. Just not my favorite profile.

March 29, 2014 - Bit of heat and tannin on the first day spoiled the soup. More bright cherry and strawberry on the 2nd but still with a strong backbone. Never quite loved this wine and think the scores may be too high but I'll wait til I try another bottle before I score it.

January 17, 2014 - Great bottle of pinot -- drink up if you still have it.

November 14, 2013 - Wonderful Pinot. Bright cherry/strawberry, fine balance, not oaky. Good from first sniff until last drop. Decanted for two hours - served slightly chilled.
